National Teen Driver Safety Week is October 19–25
The Lombard Police Department is recognizing National Teen Driver Safety Week, October 19–25, and encouraging parents and teens to talk about the importance of safe driving habits. Motor vehicle crashes remain a leading cause of death for teens, and most are preventable through education, awareness and responsible choices. Parents and caregivers can help keep teens safe by talking regularly about the dangers of speeding, distractions and impaired driving, requiring seat belt use on every trip, and setting clear limits on nighttime driving and passengers.
