Lombard Community Survey Results

The Village has released the results of its 2025 National Community Survey (NCS), providing valuable insight into residents’ perceptions of local government services, safety and overall community livability.

The NCS was conducted in partnership with the National Research Center at Polco and distributed to a random, scientific sample of 3,000 households in the Village earlier this year. This method of random sampling is the same approach used in professional polling and academic research. The statistically valid NCS survey results are based upon responses from 501 local households, yielding an overall 95% confidence level.

Over the coming weeks, we will be highlighting key findings from the survey. This week, we are excited to share that residents continue to view Lombard as an excellent place to live, with many recommending the Village to others and planning to stay for years to come.

Check out the full report: 2025 NCS Report (PDF), or visit the Village website. To view answers to frequently asked questions, refer to the 2025 National Community Survey FAQ (PDF).

Join us for our Summer Concert Finale this Saturday, Aug. 23

What a fantastic 2025 Cruise Nights & Summer Concerts season it has been, brought to you by Tommy's Express Car Wash! Let’s close out the season with a night to remember this Saturday, August 23rd, at our Summer Concert Finale in Downtown Lombard. Enjoy the high-energy sounds of Hi Infidelity, one of the area’s favorite 1980s rock cover bands, performing from 6 to 9 pm.

Note: This will be a CONCERT-ONLY event, with no car show this week. The change allows for an expanded event layout, helps address parking challenges and improves pedestrian safety at the event.

ROAD CLOSURE: Starting at 3 p.m., St. Charles Road will be closed from Main Street to S Lincoln Avenue. One-way traffic will be in place on St. Charles Road from Elizabeth Street to S. Lincoln Avenue, and on S. Lincoln Avenue towards Michael McGuire Drive.

Families with children are invited to Kids' Corner, sponsored by Kelly Stetler Real Estate and Kitchen Refresh by CMH Home Co., from 6 to 8 pm to enjoy airbrush & glitter tattoos, inflatable games, balloon twisting, and grab some fun giveaways! For more information about the event, visit the Summer Concert Finale event page.

Asphalt Improvement Work Continues

Roadway improvements are underway across Lombard as part of the 2025 Asphalt Roadway Program. The work includes resurfacing streets, repairing curbs and sidewalks, upgrading ADA-compliant ramps and restoring parkway areas. While every effort is made to minimize disruptions, drivers may encounter temporary lane closures, brief traffic delays or one-lane traffic patterns in work zones.

Residents who have questions or want to see which streets are included in the project can view the
Village's Construction Map or visit the Village Construction Projects webpage for more information.
