Annual Sewer Cleaning and Televising Underway

The Village’s annual Sewer Cleaning and Televising Program is now in progress and will continue through late September. This routine maintenance is an important part of protecting Lombard’s infrastructure and reducing the risk of sewer backups.

Work is being completed in the southern portion of Lombard, from Madison Street to Butterfield Road, by Sewertech LLC. Most cleaning and inspection activities are completed within a few hours, including setup and cleanup. While some minor disruptions, such as brief lane closures, may occur, they are expected to be minimal.

For more information about the project, visit the Village website.

Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to educate, support one another and help reduce the stigma around mental health. It’s okay not to be okay, and recognizing the signs and symptoms of mental illness in ourselves and others is an important first step toward getting help. Many people struggle silently, which is why small acts of kindness and regular check-ins with friends and family can make a meaningful difference.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, support is available. Call or text 988 or visit
988lifeline.org for 24/7, confidential help.
