Message from the Village President

With my term as your Village President coming to an end, I want to take a moment to thank the residents, community members and partners who make Lombard such a special place to call home. For the past 12 years, it has been my incredible honor to serve this wonderful community and work alongside so many dedicated individuals who truly care about our Village. Having lived in Lombard for more than 35 years, I know just how strong our sense of community is. Even as we’ve grown to nearly 45,000 residents, we’ve held on to the small-town feel that makes Lombard a welcoming place for everyone.

Together, we’ve made meaningful progress through investing in our infrastructure, enhancing public services and staying focused on what matters most to our residents. Whether through large projects or day-to-day services, every improvement has reflected a commitment to making Lombard a great place to live, work and visit.

I’ve been honored to work with a dedicated group of Village staff and elected officials who have helped move our community forward. Their efforts, along with your support, have helped strengthen trust in our local government and created a strong foundation for the future.

As I step away from this role, I’m proud to welcome Anthony Puccio as your next Village President. Having served as a Lombard Trustee for the past five years, he brings valuable experience, dedication and a strong commitment to continuing our progress. I know he will continue working hard to serve our community.

Looking ahead, I encourage everyone to get involved and continue supporting one another. Whether it’s attending a local event, volunteering or simply shopping and dining locally, each of us plays a role in keeping our community strong.

Thank you once again for the opportunity to serve as your Village President. It has been a privilege and one of my greatest honors. I look forward to continuing to support our community in new ways and seeing all that will be accomplished in the years ahead.

Sincerely,

Keith Giagnorio

Village President

Property Tax Information

As a reminder, property tax bills for DuPage County property owners are in the mail this week. Please note that the Village of Lombard receives less than 8% of the total tax bill, meaning that less than $0.08 of every dollar paid in property taxes will go to the Village to help fund core services, including public safety provided by Police and Fire Departments; road, sewer, and water maintenance from Public Works; building and code enforcement from Community Development, and responsible long-term financial planning from the Finance Department.

Help Prevent Sewer Backups During Heavy Rain

During and after heavy rainstorms, residents can help reduce the risk of sewer backups by temporarily limiting water use inside the home. This includes delaying activities like doing laundry, running the dishwasher, or taking long showers.

Our Public Works crews work hard to keep water flowing through the sewers and pump stations, but prolonged or intense rainfall can overwhelm the system, especially in low-lying areas, leading to backups or overflows. To learn more about how the Village's sewer system works and what you can do to help, visit https://www.villageoflombard.org/261/Sewer-Maintenance.
