Madison Street Closure Begins March 3rd

The Village of Villa Park has informed the Village that its contractor, Trine Construction, will be closing Madison Street between Addison Avenue and Michigan Avenue to all traffic starting Monday, March 3, weather permitting. The closure is expected to last about two months as crews install a large storm sewer. A detour will be in place to guide drivers around the closure.

Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, use alternate routes when possible, and drive with caution near the work zone. For more details on the project, visit the Villa Park construction webpage.

Help Shape the Future of Transportation: RTP Survey

The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) is seeking public input on the future of transportation in northeastern Illinois. Residents are invited to take CMAP’s online survey to share how they travel and what improvements they’d like to see in the region’s transportation system.

This feedback will play a key role in developing the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP)—a long-term blueprint for roads, rails, and trails over the next 30 years. Your input will help shape efforts to reduce congestion, improve mobility, and build a more sustainable future.

The survey will remain open throughout 2025, so there’s plenty of time to participate. For questions about the RTP or the survey, email rtp@cmap.illinois.gov. For more information, visit the CMAP website.

Paper surveys for the 2025 National Community Survey have been mailed to 3,000 randomly selected Lombard households. The survey gathers resident feedback on Village services and quality of life through a scientifically valid process conducted by Polco, an independent research firm.

If you received a survey, your participation is important. Polco ensures that all responses remain confidential and that data is analyzed objectively. Responses are requested by March 19, and your feedback will help shape future Village priorities and improvements. Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts and make your voice heard.
